Off To Sonic Today!

About 6 weeks ago I entered into a radio contest with Sonic a local Edmonton radio station. The premise of the contest was “The Sonic Home Edition”, for a couple of hours on Friday night Sonic would come to a listeners home and broadcast on a Friday evening. Plus, the host would get a brand new 26″ LCD TV and $1000 cash!
Sadly, my entry “Emergency Internet Backup Kit” didn’t get picked. 
Tonight, I have been invited to go to the wrap up party at the radio station and I will have a chance to win a TV or $1000! Needless to say, if I won the cash, it would all go directly into my retirement goal. The TV I will gladly keep and replace the 15 year old CRT TV that is on its last legs.

At 30 I realized that early retirement would be the next logical step. For me to achieve early retirement I will need to earn and save $1 million by July 2012.
