The craziest thing happened last night! I was at a restaurant and I stuck up a conversation with an older gentlemen and I was explaining to him my goal of having a million dollars to retire early. Unbelievably, he wrote a check for $1 million right there and then! So it is Sunday and I won’t be able to cash it until Monday. Funny thing is as he was walking away, he was yelling April Fools April Fools! Just didn’t make sense because it was March 31.

Okay, that really didn’t happen, but it is April first and I needed to have a bit of fun.

March’s Earnings:

Adsense: $21.33
Donations: $2 from co-worker (Thanks Terry)
Referrals: $1.89 from Amazon.ca
Karma: $20 from lotto ticket
Other: $20 from a free Review (Matt did a review that would have been worth $40 from Review Me)

That brings the total to $120.83 in 3 months! That means I am 0.01% towards achieving my goal!

So March was a good month financially as well it was publicly. A local radio station allowed me to do a quick plug for My Retirement Project during Rick Lee’s Sonic Rewind. Though it didn’t generate much traffic, My Retirement Project has begun to get attention and as time goes on that interest will grow.

My Retirement Project joined the OneMillionDollarRace.com which is a site to track how other sites are doing towards a mutual goal of achieving $1 million.

As well Feedburner hit an all time high of 25 readers when I posted the $75 million mansion and that post also holds the record for most times viewed at 366 times.

All in all, March was a successful month, I am motivated and once I get the redesign all finished, I plan to take more steps in monetizing the site and increasing my revenue streams to bring me closer to achieving my goal.
