From what I have learned through The Secret and other motivational speakers is that it is important to have a goal. It is equally important that your goal has a time line to achieve this goal. As many of my readers probably know already, my goal is to achieve early retirement by the time I turn 35.

The date I have chosen to achieve my early retirement is July 28th, 2012. As you can see with the count down below, that is exactly 5 years from now. Tick Tock Tick Tock.

Taking another tip from The Secret, I have already written my Letter of Retirement. The letter is post marked July 28, 2012 and a copy is hanging on my wall in the living room. Every day I wake up and look at the letter to constantly remind me of my goal and remind me what I need to do to achieve my dreams of financial independence and early retirement.
