Meet Josh Greene
Reviews, Blogging | 490 ViewsRecently, I met Josh Greene online. A fellow blogger who’s topics range from e-marketing, technology and miscellaneous ramblings like most of us bloggers enjoy doing. JoshGreene.com has been around for some time. It appears he first started his blog in 2002, but only got serious about creating entries in 2005, since then he has been creating regular posts for the world to benefit from his knowledge.
As a web designer, I have a couple suggestions that would help take Josh’s blog to the next level.
- Develop a Brand - A brand is important, it is what identifies you in the most simplest form. Through a logo graphic you can invoke memories and achieve responses more powerful than text ever can. A brand defines you and your blog.
- Increase opportunities to monetize his site. Josh has a Google page rank of 5 and he has good content that would draw natural Search Engine traffic that could respond well with effectively placed AdSense ad blocks.
- Stop using serif fonts. Try using Arial or Verdana, these are fonts that are a lot easier to read on a computer screen.
- Explore the possibility of taking the plunge and try WordPress out. I understand that it involves a learning curve and some upfront hosting costs, but it might be worth it if the blog becomes more customizable and search engine friendly.
- Who is Josh Greene? I would like to know more about the author. I find it personalize the author and makes the author more approachable and easier to relate to.
- Continue to write great content
Of course take any suggestions with a grain of salt. Perhaps you can use these ideas on your own blog as well. But in the mean time, Be sure to visit JoshGreene.com and take in some of his knowledge.

Most people average 4 careers in their working lives. I have been a Cook, Hotel Clerk, Black Jack Dealer and now I am a web designer.
At 30 I realized that early retirement would be the next logical step. For me to achieve early retirement I will need to earn and save $1 million by July 2012. It is my personal goal to use online revenue streams to achieve my goal to become financially independent and allow me to live my life to the fullest.
