Web Design
As my primary discipline in the multimedia industry, I have designed, built and maintained over 50 websites over the past 5 years. My projects have varied from personal websites, small businesses and corporate catalog sites.
Photography
As a hobby, I enjoy photography. Photography has allowed me to be creative and capture moments that draw me in. I find that a majority of my photographs are inspired by nature. I enjoy capturing the colors and vibrancy that nature exudes every day.
PhotoShop
PhotoShop is, by far, my favorite program to work with. It is an incredible tool that has an incredible power when it comes to manipulating photos, creating images, and designing interfaces.
Flash
When I first went to multimedia school, Flash was the first program that I learned to use. Using Flash 5 to do a simple animation just blew me away because of how easy it was to create animations. Ah, the memories when usability was just a buzz word and long website intros with 5 minute load times was all the rage. Now, I use Flash almost every day to create simple web applications and learn tools or promotional animations.
I create print material using Photoshop and Illustrator. Projects I have done for print include logo design, information posters and informative handouts.
Most people average 4 careers in their working lives. I have been a Cook, Hotel Clerk, Black Jack Dealer and now I am a web designer.
At 30 I realized that early retirement would be the next logical step. For me to achieve early retirement I will need to earn and save $1 million by July 2012. It is my personal goal to use online revenue streams to achieve my goal to become financially independent and allow me to live my life to the fullest.
